Welcome to June Portal!

Welcome to June within the Lotus Collective! This month’s theme is Inspired Action! Together we will harness the power of the sun to move forward with confidence, inspiration, motivation, and vitality. The sun represents the masculine energy within all of us: think action, clarity, and focus!

Rather than work with a new meditation or kriya each week, we have decided to focus on one singular kriya to really build upon it’s empowering energy. The more you practice a kriya the more powerful its effects will be!

Introducing Suriya Kriya!! 

Get ready to experience an expanded sense of inspiration coupled with the motivation to take inspired action with this powerful and dynamic practice! 

We are excited to work with a  new format this month which will include:

  • One new pre-recorded class will be available in your portal on Monday, June 6th

  • One Live Zoom class with Meg on Sunday, June 19th at 10:00 am CT. We will be practicing Suriya kriya together and end with a Q&A and community share.

  • Weekly Journal Prompts and Inspired Action Assignments designed to support this month’s theme, along with suggested supplemental practices from the library of classes.

  • Continued Access to the entire library of on-demand classes

Your Weekly Journal Prompts & Inspired Action Assignments:

 

Week 1: Tap into Inspired Action with Suriya Kriya

 

Week 1 Prompt, Action, Affirmation:

Journal Prompt: When do you feel most inspired? Think about the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of your answer. How can you support yourself in getting into alignment with the energy of inspiration? 

Inspired Action Assignment: How many times have you said “if it’s not in the calendar it doesn’t exist”? It has been proven that we increase the likelihood of something happening when we take the time to schedule it. Open up your calendar and schedule in 5-15 minutes to engage in some sort of creative practice at least 3 times this week.  This can be anything from doodling, to writing, dancing, or walking. Let it be easy and realistic! 

Affirmation: Try working with this mantra as you doze off to sleep and see what happens!

“I wake up motivated and inspired”

Week 1 Suggested Supplemental Practice: Tap into clarity with “Becoming Crystal Clear”

 

Week 2: How to tap into your Yang Energy

 

Week 2 Prompt, Action, Affirmation:

Journal Prompt: Make a list of your unique YANG / Sun energy characteristics and how they support you. Check out this yin-yang personality chart for reference. 

Inspired Action Assignment: To generate and activate more pranic life force energy for yourself, you can engage in YANG-based activities. Yang activities are more rigorous and dynamic, think brisk walks or runs, a fast-paced swim, hip-hop dance, boxing, wheelchair basketball, breathwork that engages the core, gardening, a vigorous vinyasa or kundalini yoga class…anything that engages your heart rate. Yang-based activities are available to ALL bodies. Make a list of a few yang-based activities you’d like to try this week, then schedule some time to engage! 

Affirmation: I am equipped with everything I need to fulfill my highest purpose.

Week 3: Does your inner circle energize or drain you?

Week 3 Prompt, Action, Affirmation:

Journal Prompt: Make a list of the 5 people you spend the most time with and how they’re impacting you on a mental, emotional, and physical level. 

 

Inspired Action Assignment: Say thank you to a person who is currently creating a positive impact on your life. This simple act lets the Universe know exactly what kind of energy you’d like to surround yourself with.  

 

Affirmation: I attract expansive, supportive, and joyful relationships!

 

Week 3 Suggested Supplemental Practice:

Details: Release toxic relationships with “Cut the Cords” (October Week 2)

 

 
 

Week 4: How you spend your time matters!

Week 4 Prompt, Action, Affirmation:
 

Journal Prompt: How you spend your time matters! Make a list of your top five time and energy suckers. This could be anything from mindless scrolling, to consuming foods that make you feel sick, to watching media that gives you anxiety or something else. Once you’ve made your list, brainstorm a few alternatives that feel supportive, uplifting and energizing. 

 

Inspired Action Assignment: Commit to your goals! Write down one goal, then write down the first step in making it happen. Schedule a time to make it happen THIS week and then share within the Facebook group once you’ve completed this step so we can celebrate you! 

 

Affirmation: I celebrate my victories, big and small!
