Changes You May Notice After Starting a Kundalini Practice

Kundalini is a powerful practice that combines movement / asana, breath, mantra and meditation. It has the capacity to catalyze profound shifts and changes in your life if you keep at it. Even one class can feel like an amazing therapy session. Once you start a Kundalini practice you may notice some changes and wonder if what you’re seeing is real, so I’ve decided to share some recent changes I’ve noticed in my life!

28 days ago I began a new 40-day practice doing the Kundalini Liberation Kriya. In the span of these four weeks, I’ve noticed some very interesting shifts in myself, that I want to share with you.

You might experience these changes yourself after starting a Kundalini practice.

  1. Appearance

    The first change I noticed was in my face shape and my hair. There is something different about my eyes, cheeks, and general bone structure. My hair has changed in texture, and is parting in a different place. It is laying less dense on my crown chakra.

    A dear friend came over and commented how different I looked, saying my eyes seemed deeper and wiser.

  2. Taste Buds

    Secondly, my taste has changed. The mere thought of processed food causes my stomach to churn, and I am leaning away from any animal products or heavily seasoned foods. I find myself naturally gravitating towards fresh juice, with a desire to consume high-vibrational life force energy.

  3. Time

    Thirdly, I have become much less attached to feeling the need to reply immediately to emails and texts. I no longer feel as if I owe someone an immediate reply. Instead, I am more comfortable taking my time.

    I am at peace knowing that what is meant for me will be there regardless if I reply immediately or on my own time. This is giving me the chance to respond from a place of love, when I have the time and energy, rather than a space that feels squeezed and rushed.

  4. Life

    Lastly, life just feels softer. Although I have gone through some recent hardships, life seems to feel a lot softer and less jagged.
